Experience

I've maintained backlogs of many products and have coded everything from scripts to a monolithic web applications. I have an affinity for clean UI and attention to detail in finishing and shipping products.

Project Manager • UCF IT Project Management Office

I was a PM for the central IT PMO, handling projects from demand through to closing. Projects ranged in size from a few to tens of stakeholders.

Met with stakeholders regularly to determine and refine requirements, scope, risks and deliverables
Managed communications to keep all stakeholders informed
Coordinated various IT and vendor teams to stay in sync
Regularly led kick-offs, presentations and retrospectives
Worked with vendors to maintain good momentum and relationships
Contributed to policies, templates and other standards

Product Owner • UCF IT Digital Solutions

I was the Product Owner for a small Agile team of 3-4 devs with a large portfolio, in addition to playing the role of Scrum Master for multiple teams.

Oversaw portfolio of 40+ custom software products and applications
Developed product visions and a rationality index for all apps
Successfully managed the on-boarding and standardization of 5+ colleges’ applications and tech debt
Drove Agile adoption through Scrum practices, rituals, and consistency
Improved team cohesion through retreats, off-campus meetings, and levity
Worked with Product Owners and leadership to develop an application retirement process
Led workshops on Scrum topics, including affinity estimation, Definition of Done and retrospectives

I was promoted to the role of manager in our growing application development department. I also continued to develop web apps and assist with design tasks.

Managed a team of 6 designers and programmers and coordinated all projects, tasks, and deliverables
Developed 30+ web applications for both internal and external use, primarily in C# MVC
Worked with the Project Management team to develop procedures, workflows, and a ranking rubric for projects
Prepared and delivered presentations to clients, internal teams, and VPs
Proactively developed team standards, policies, and procedures
Primarily worked in Visual Studio, Git, IIS, SQL, and SharePoint
